Supervision for Associate Therapists

My clinical orientation and supervision style is deeply influenced by Psychoanalytic, Relational, and Somatic theories. As your supervisor, you can expect me to be warm, compassionate, direct, and engaged. I know that supervision is a vulnerable process that requires honesty, vulnerability, and a commitment to exploration. I would be a good fit for someone who wants to deepen their clinical work through self-reflection and is open to working relationally within the supervising process.

As your supervisor I will help you think through transference/countertransference, projective identification and the application of clinical theory. I will also provide a space that is dedicated to developing your own path as a therapist. I also recognize that the intersections of identities between myself and my supervisees are incredibly important in the supervisory relationship. I am committed to sifting through the messiness and connection with my supervisees, while examining the role that systems play in our relationship.

I am currently enrolled in The Psychotherapy Institute of Berkeley’s Supervision Study Program and am actively taking supervisees. If you are interested in completing your hours with me in a private practice setting, please feel free to contact me.
