about me
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience and Religion from Arcadia University in 2012, where I studied religious and spiritual experiences cross-culturally. In 2017, I received a Masters of Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Marywood University. Additionally, I completed training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) from the Sonoma Psychotherapy Training Institute in 2021. I also trained in the use of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for the treatment of trauma with Pat Ogden, PhD in 2023. Currently, I am studying psychoanalytic and relational clinical supervision in a year-long program at The Psychotherapy Institute.
In my previous role as a therapist, I focused on supporting individuals with addictions through a harm reduction perspective, furthering my commitment to provide inclusive care that deeply respects the autonomy of each individual. Since then, I have continued to work with issues related to trauma and its impact on mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.
In addition to practicing therapy, I am a clinical supervisor with California Institute of Integral Studies, Church Street Integral Counseling Center, and The Center for Somatic Psychotherapy.
Prior to practicing therapy, I worked as a Direct Support Professional for adults with disabilities. I also have experience providing direct care at an assisted living facility for individuals living with advanced dementia and Alzheimer’s. These collective experiences taught me that the opportunity to be fully seen, heard and witnessed without judgement is one of the most healing experiences we can have.
When I am not working, you can find me seeking creative experiences, reading non-fiction, exploring natural environments and playing with my cat Mocha.
“It is by going down into the abyss that we discover the treasures of life. Where you stumble, there lies your treasure.”
